Summer Playlist

Hello xx

I've been spending this week at a pool that I have a membership too. I noticed that I haven't done that much swimming. I spend my time sprawled out on a towel letting the sun kiss my skin. Of course, I have my phone with me and feel the need to blare some awesome summer tunes! Here's my summer playlist:

"Shower" by Becky G is such a catchy song. I heard it just the other day and added right away to my Summer Playlist. You're the reason why I'm dancing in the mirror and singing in the shower.

I'm so fancy; You already know, I'm in the fast lane from L.A. to Tokyo! Needless to say, "Fancy" by Iggy Azaela is definitely that summer road trip with your girls kind of song.

Maroon 5 recently released a new song as well called "Maps." It's upbeat and the background music really screams summer- if you ask me.

I'm not a huge Rita Ora fan, but this song is really good! It's called "I Will Never Let You Down." This  is the perfect song to just jam out to in your bedroom while you're getting ready for a summer date. No lie, I've already done this- the jamming out part, not the summer date.

What kind of summer playlist would this be without the hit song "Problem" by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea? It would most certainly not be one! Head in the clouds...

I really like this song! I've found myself listening to this song while I'm just chilling in my room- "Take Me Home" by Cash Cash and Bebe Rexha.

To conclude this post, "Sirens" by Cher Loyd is another fantastic song. If you don't have this song on your summer playlist, you have to add it.

I also really like "Am I Wrong" by Nico & Vinz, "Red Lights" by Tiesto, "Girls Chase Boys" by Ingrld Michaelson and "Not A Bad Thing" by Justin Timberlake. My Summer Playlist has an infinitive amount of songs.

Thanks for reading! Enjoy your summer! xx

How To Style: Boyfriend Jeans

Hello! xx

Today I wanted to share with you the huge trend that is spreading like a wildfire during these chilly summer nights: boyfriend jeans. Let's slip right into it!

They're a very boyish trend- obviously. The key is to feminize the jeans to balance it out. For example, use statement necklaces, high heels, lace tops, etc.

Here the outfit consist of a high-low shirt to reveal some skin to show off her toned body; boyfriend jeans will not hug the bottom portion of your figure. A statement necklace distracts from the boring side of the outfit. It says look at me since the shirt is a neutral color. The necklace also pulls the outfit together. On to the shoes- very daring. They again, add some spice. The other accessories are a nice touch as well.

Getting dressed up for a night in town? Here, the boyfriend jeans are clearly being feminized. The extra holes in the denim material is a great way to show off your legs! The top is sheer and lace. It's very girly and fun. It balances out the look by showing off the figure.

For a more relaxed look, cuff the bottoms. They're super casual for going out for ice cream with your girlfriend. The holes add a flattering texture to show some skin. The crew neck sweatshirt defines casualty. This goes hand-in-hand with the shoes.

Remember, when wearing boyfriend jeans add cute, girly accessories to feminize the look. If you're looking for a more casual style, cuff the bottoms to send a relaxed vibe. Either way, boyfriend jeans are an adorable uprising trend that I can't wait to try out this summer!

9th Grade Accomplishments & Memorable Experiences

Hi everyone! xx

I wanted to make a post dedicated to my freshman year in high school. There were so many different things I've accomplished and experienced and wanted to share the majority of them with you.

I'll start off with the beginning of the year and conclude with the last few days of school. This year, I was vice president of a club. It's a club that involves improving and helping my community and school. I was really excited. It was a lot of fun.

I picked up writing for the school newspaper again! I had a few articles published last year, but this year I had a least one article in each newspaper. One of my personal favorite articles relates to peer pressure. (Yes, I started with a Taylor Swift quote!)

My first kiss! I'm not sure if it's necessarily an accomplishment, but it was certainly an experience worth drawing attention to. I'm sure every girl dreams of their first kiss: where, when, who, etc. I admit to having a princess-like image, and it fit the scene perfectly right under the stars.

This corresponds with my newspaper article; I experienced peer pressure. I really thought this was an accomplishment because I didn't break. For some reason, I always thought I would never collide with it. I watched someone I liked- a lot - fall into it. My lips were silenced because I wanted to be accepted. Instead my silence outraged. Said some things that led to me on the outside looking in. In the end, it worked out for the best. I realized where I stand in this world and it's certainly higher than what it used to be.

Moving on down the trail, I had my first experience on what it's like to be broken up with. It was certainly an unforgettable moment; it cleared up some of the views I had that were a bit blurry in the past. Everyone goes through it at one point or another, I guess I was lucky enough to have it early on in my emotional developing process as a raw adolescent.

The baby! The baby! The baby! I had a few indescribable episodes with a computerized baby for my family consumer science class. If you didn't see my journal entry post, I'll insert a picture below. I had the baby for a whole weekend. It was- wow. At least I got an A. That's all that matters. Her name is Amy. A cutie pie who cried every hour in the middle of the night. (Recommendation, don't take that class.)

I had a limited amount of outfit repeats. In my eyes I think that's an accomplishment. I think I had 4-5 give or take. In seventh and eighth grade I would wear the same thing constantly. It was time I show off the other 3/4 of my wardrobe.

I won the President's Award. It's for having an outstanding academic achievement. I feel like it's required, so it's not necessarily an accomplishment or achievement; I think it should be expected to perform our best every single day while in school. That's just my personal opinion.

Lastly, this will include my academic performance. I did my best; that's all anyone can ask for and hope for when it comes to school. You get into it, what you put into it. In my eyes, I got a lot out of the education I relieved this year. Therefore, I relieved high honors for each of my marking periods. For my final grades, I got all A's and a B. A B in honors geometry. It was a tough class, but I pulled through. That is most certainly an outstanding achievement for myself. I have put a lot of effort into school since day one. I'm most proud of my A in English; it's my favorite class and I've noticed that the class really inspired me to become a life-long learner.

If you have any achievements or memorable experiences throughout the year, please share them with me. I would love to hear them and relate. Thanks for reading! I hope you had a wonderful school year and an even better summer.

Disney Trip: June 2014 Haul

Hi everyone! xx

For those of you who read yesterday's post, I just got back from Florida. I didn't get too many things, but I wanted to share the minimal things that I got with you anyway. Enjoy! x

First, I bought these minty-teal pants. I am absolutely in love with them. They're floor length with a draw string around the waist. They fit my color obsession perfectly.

I wasn't sure what to wear with those pants, so I got the shirt that was on the display. The cream colored shirt has lace detailing on the upper half of the back. It's gorgeous.

These rings-so cute! I'm going to do a nail tutorial soon and I'll give you a close up on them.

This pencil case is so cute! (I am guilty of back to school shopping already!) Oops!

This backpack! I love the horizontal stripe detailing. The bright colors are super fun. I'll be saving this for back to school as well some back to school posts in August!

I needed a new luggage tag. Since they were have a special deal my family got 3. The minnie mouse one is mine; go figure. It's adorable. It fits my personality completely.

I have an obsession with popcorn, but that's not all. I have a thing about getting at least one popcorn bucket. They usually have at least one new bucket in one of the parks. I already have the green one, but I don't have the bronze colored one.

Disney is known for their trading pins. My collection is growing. Here I have a pack of the Frozen pins as well as a World Cup Mickey.

If you saw my post yesterday, you noticed an ice cream bucket. This was the bucket it was in. I'm going to store my travel soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc. in the container. It wasn't a personal purchase, but I wanted to share it with you anyway.

I hope you enjoyed this haul. I had a lot of fun throughout my vacation.

Disney Trip: June 2014

Hello everyone! xx

I recently just got back from Florida. I wanted to share with you some of things I did over the course of my family vacation. It's just a lot of pictures, not that many words, no worries. Tomorrow, I'll be posting my small haul. Enjoy! xx

I stayed at Old Key West resort. I've only stayed here once before. If you ever stay/visit this resort, you have to go to Oliva's. It's one of my favorite places to go for breakfast- they have the best chocolate chip pancakes ever.

Here's an awful picture from our first full day. We went to Hollywood Studios where we watched the Star Wars parade.

I believe this picture is from Monday. We went to the Magic Kingdom and got this! It was too much, but delicious. It's called the Kitchen Sink.

On Tuesday we had reservations for lunch. Epcot has a world showcase center. One of the places is Japan. We went to Japan for lunch. They cooked the meal in front of us. It was really exciting.

After our amazing meal we went to the Japan store. I took this quick picture. Selfie!

You cannot deny how beautiful this looks. I should seriously become a photographer. Just kidding.

On Wednesday, I went back to Epcot. Here is Canada.

Here is the United States of America.

Here is Norway. I think the background is gorgeous.

Later in the day, I went to Animal Kingdom. We went on a safari. It was interesting, but then again I'm not a huge animal lover.

The giraffe was really close, haha.

Here is a picture of the savannah; it's beautiful.

Olaf! If you haven't seen Frozen, you need to stop reading this and go check it out. Olaf is adorable.

My sister: a hipster, a tumblr girl, the coolest person- ever. Swag.

This was just a ride we went on on our last day. It was about farming and things of that nature.

When I got back home this was at my airport- a Benefit bus! OMG! I think it's the cutest thing ever.

I hope you enjoyed this post. School is officially out! I'll be sure to start posting more, responding to comments quicker, etc. If you have any requests please comment below.

How To Style: Sundresses

Hi everyone! xx

Today I wanted to do a fashion related post. I haven't done one of these in awhile. Sundresses are one of my favorite clothing essentials for the summer time. I wanted to share with you my take on some different sundresses. I'll be including where you can buy accessories to go along with it. Hopefully you enjoy these quick tips and share some of your own with me as well. Without a further introduction, let's get into it.

Shoes: there are so many different types of shoes that could define your look. You could dress it up with heels or dress it down with flip flops. If you're looking for something in between try wedges flip flops! They're perfect!

Hats: fedoras, floppy hats, cute floral visors, etc. I personally love the trend of a floppy hat with a cute floral printed sundress. Super cute!

You can find cute hats at Target, Forever21, and other swim suit stores.

Purses are a must. Us girls need them to carry around beauty products, our cell phone, wallet, feminine products, etc. The question is which purse do you pair with a sundress. Easy!  Big, boho bags go perfect with solid print dresses. You can find them at Target for a reasonable price. Tote bags also work great.

When wearing a printed dress I like to go with a solid color bag. Small brown crossbody bags are casual and fashionable. It's a win, win situation.

Lastly, I would like to draw some attention to sunglasses. Sunglasses are a staple that you must have in your wardrobe. I found these on We Heart It and thought I would share them with you.

Right now, heart shaped sunglasses are completely in. Did you see Taylor Swift wear them in her "22" music video? Everyone loves them. They're fun. Flirty. And protect your eyes from UV Rays.

Either way, pick a pair of sunglasses that match the accents on your dress. If you're going for a red dress with white and yellow floral prints. Go for some shades with a white frame.

Tip: When choosing the perfect sundress make sure it defines your personality. Something pink and flowy screams flirty. Something white with cut outs says I'm daring. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

I love getting my sundresses from Aeropostale and Roxy. Target and TJ Max have a wonderful (and cheap) selection as well. If you have any fashion tips for sundresses please share them with me. I would love to see your take on them as well!

Bathing Suit Trends

Hello everyone! x

I'm sure everyone is on their last few days of school and are finally ready to hit the beach or the pool; I know I am! Therefore, I decided to share with you some of the bathing suit styles that are trending this summer. Enjoy! x

High Waisted Bottoms

This trend is spiraling in- uncontrollably. The high waisted bottoms define your figure, therefore making it more flattering on your body. I've caught Taylor Swift wearing this type of bathing suit while she was hanging out with her friends. Retro and adorable is in trend!

I purchased mine at Abercrombie & Fitch, but Forever21 has a super cute selection you can choose from as well.

One Piece Cutouts

As a teenager, some of tend to think that one piece bathing suits aren't as exciting as the typical bikini. Here is a fun twist in the boring one piece bathing suit. You have a nice mix of concealing more, and showing more. I love this. It has the perfect balance of skin, and it doesn't look trashy, (if you pick the right one for your body.)

Ruffles! Ruffles! And more ruffles!

Ruffles on the bottoms of the bathing suit are coming into style! They're cute and flattering on most body shapes. This one is from Juicy Couture. I think it's super cute. It also incorporates the 80's trend as well!

I find that these types of bathing suits are a lot more flattering if you have a muffin top, compared to someone who is pear shaped. It balances out your body more evenly. Either way, I love the trend!

In conclusion, I have some more bathing suits that I thought were super cute. I couldn't resist posting them...

Thanks for reading! I hope you found this post helpful when shopping for bathing suits. I would suggest Abercrombie & Fitch, Target, and Victoria's Secret for some great swimsuits.
