The Fashion Tag

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! Lately, I've been lacking the inspiration to come up with an interesting fashion oriented post. So with that being said, I decided to do a tag to give you some more insight as to what my style is really like.

1. How would you describe your style?

More times than not, my style is very girly and preppy. I like everything collared and pink.

2. What are your wardrobe staples?

I have so many wardrobe essentials: dark skinny jeans, a preppy tee, a chunky sweater, black flats, scarves and my favorite bracelet. It's a cross pull chain by Alex and Ani.

3. What is the most expensive item in your closet?

The most expensive item in my closet is my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. My godfather bought it for me when I turned 15. I wear the heck out of that thing in the fall and winter.

4. What is your most wanted item?

Currently, my most wanted item is the Miller Sandal by Tory Burch.

5. Who is your favorite designer?

I really can't choose just one. I have so, so many! I'll give you my top three: Lauren Conrad, Lilly Pulitzer, and Michael Kors.

6. How much do you spend on clothes?

I'm not really sure how much money i spend on clothes to be honest. I will admit, most of my money does go to clothes do. I guess that's just what I like to spend my money on.

7. What are your favorite places to shop?

I have so many places! I love Abercrombie, Kohls, Lilly Pulitzer, Target, Primark and Zara. Those are just definitely some of the few. Abercrombie has some great basic pieces. Whereas I purchase trendy pieces from Kohls, Target, and Primark.

8. What is your favorite fragrance?

My favorite fragrance is definitely Wonderstruck Enchanted by Taylor Swift.

9. What is your favorite way to do your hair?

I typically just like to leave it down- straightened. I find that it looks super sleek. I use my CHI Air Classic 1" Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron. I'm thinking about doing a post on it. Let me know if you'd be interested in that.

10. What is your go-to outfit when you have nothing to wear?

It definitely depends on the season. I typically choose yoga pants and a t-shirt if I'm just chilling out.

If I'm going and out and the weather is chilly, I go with dark skinny jeans and black flats. As for my top, I wear a white collared long-sleeve under a gray sweater. Super chic, yet effortless.

If the weather is like it is now-blazing hot- then I go with a pair of khaki shorts and a Simply Southern tee. For shoes, I wear my tan Adidas sandals. They're super comfortable.

*My biggest tip for throwing together an outfit is to accessorize. If I'm feeling bold I wear my rose gold Michael Kors watch. If not, then I stack some of my Alex and Ani bangles together.

11. What is one fashion trend you wish would come back or stay?

I really wish wearing gloves would come back. It's so classy looking! You can't tell me that Audrey Hepburn wasn't rocking it in Breakfast At Tiffany's.

12. What is your most prized possession in your wardrobe?

The most prized possession in my wardrobe is my Michael Kors tote. It slides into any season. I've gotten so much wear out of it; and I've only had it since Christmas.

That concludes The Fashion Tag. Answer some of the questions down below! I would love to know what the most prized possession in your wardrobe is.

Summer Beauty Wishlist

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! This week I'm sharing my Summer Beauty Wishlist with you all. Over the past few weeks I've been in and out of Target. I even hit up Sephora once. With that being said, a few
products definitely caught my attention.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Glow Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills // $40

A few weeks ago I was in Orlando, Florida. I made my way down to The Springs where they opened a ton of new stores including: Alex and Ani, Lilly Pulitzer, and Sephora. Of course I checked them out! While in Sephora I came across this beautiful highlighting palette. The colors are absolutely
gorgeous. I would love to experiment with some contouring.

Volum' Express Lash Sensational Mascara by Maybelline // $19

I am currently running low on my favorite mascara: Better Than Sex by Too Faced. It's definitely not the cheapest mascara on the market. I decided to ask some of my fellow blogger mates for their advice. After reading some reviews, I came to the conclusion of wanting this mascara. I hear it can be a dupe for my magic mascara.

Nail Lacquer in Wendy by Zoya // $9

Zoya is my favorite brand for polishes. They are such great quality. About a month ago I thought it was time to clean out some of my old nail polishes- cheap ones that weren't getting any use. It turns out that that was 90% of my collection. I now only have about 10. This color is perfect for any season too!

Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer by Maybelline // $9.99

I really, really, really want this product. It's at the top of my list for sure. I've heard and read such great reviews on this product. I would love to see what this product can do for my dark under eye circles.

Dandelion Shy-beam  by Benefit Cosmetics // $26

I am all about highlighters. This nude pink matte-radiance highlighter is one I can definitely see myself wearing. It is so pretty! Currently I own Benefit's High-beam and it's incredible. Their products never disappoint.

Gel Eyeliner Smudger by NYX Cosmetics // $9

Lately I've been getting into eyeliner- even though I absolutely stink at it. I've been using a dark black eyeshadow to do a thick line across my top lashes. If I don't go bold, then I use a dark brown pencil to line the bottom half of my lashes. Then I blend it out for a smoky effect. I think it would be fun to experiment with a gel based eyeliner.

Great Lash Mascara in Clear by Maybelline // $4.29

I've also been getting into filling in my eyebrows with a generic brow powder. I really like the look! Unfortunately, it doesn't tend to last all day. My brows go whack after being outside in the heat. With this product, my brows could be rocking all day long!

Swamp Queen Eye & Cheek Palette by Tarte // $45

Lastly, I have this eyeshadow palette on my wishlist. As of now I have one pallette with a bunch of neutral colors on it. Don't get me wrong, I love it to death. I use it everyday! I kind of want some more pinky shades. According to Pinterest, it's pink tones for blue eyes or go home!

That concludes my Summer Beauty Wishlist. As you can see I'm all about experimenting with my makeup look, whether it's girly or dramatic. We'll take that journey together!

Have A Picnic

Summer is perfect for picnics, whether it be in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I've never been on an actual picnic before... Definitely on my bucket list for this summer!

Picnic Hacks-

Beach Days

Beach days are the best days. Am I right? Take a walk along the shore line and search for seashells. I was just there a few weeks ago; I found the coolest shells.

Beach Hacks-

Boat Ride

Honestly, I only included this because of how romantic The Notebook made boat rides look. Click here to watch it.

Go Stargazing

What's more romantic than looking up at the stars?

When To Go-

Go To An Outdoor Concert

There are ton of music festivals during the summer months, some of which are free too.

View Here-

Go To A Street Fair or Local Festival

They're everywhere! Take in all the exciting things happening around you.

Watch The Sunset (or Sunrise)

I absolutely love watching the sunset in the middle of July. It's absolutely gorgeous. Watching the sunrise is just as gorgeous, especially if you're an early riser.

Hike/Rock Climb

Kind of the same thing, right? Hiking is a new activity I enjoy doing. I love sitting on the rocks and taking nature in. As for rock climbing, I've only done it on a wall. I'd love to do the real thing!

Outfit Idea-

Play Life Size Chess

If you and your partner are into Saturday night board games, this is definitely for you. My boyfriend and I recently took up chess. Playing with life size pieces would be super cool.

Explore Some Place New and Take Lots of Pics

There are always new places to go. Go, and practice taking pictures. Don't forget to print them! You can save them for rainy day scrapbooking.

Wardrobe Essentials For Tropical Holiday

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! Yesterday, I just got back from Orlando, Florida. With that being said, I thought this was the perfect post.

Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Classics are the most recognizable style in the history of sunglasses. I originally purchased them because I saw Taylor Swift wear them in her 22 music video. Later on, I realized I actually loved wearing them, despite Taylor rocking them in her music video. These shades go with everything!

I made this purchase about two years ago. The suit is still in fantastic condition.

You need a one piece swimsuit for summer:

(1) They're perfect for a day at the waterpark. You won't have to worry about anything popping out. (2) They're perfect for family functions, especially when little kids are around.

I own a ton of navy clothing pieces. Perfect for the summer time! I purchased these flip flops along with a navy/white striped dress at Primark. The two together look perfect: girly, but not overly. The link below shows the same flip flops I purchased in white.

A tote bag is a must. I'm always throwing stuff in my purse when I'm on vacation, whether it be my sister's sunglasses or a tour guide from a local mall. Plus, it can double as a carry on!

Obviously it doesn't have to be this dress, but you want to bring one, if not a few sundresses with you to your tropical destination. When I went to Orlando, Florida I bought two or three with me. They're so easy to throw on and they're breezy too! With the weather going up to 93 degrees you'll want to keep cool.

Definitely bring a hoodie. I like this one from The North Face because it's light. It's perfect for the plane ride. It's also nice for chilly restaurants or hotel lobbies. You never know!

You definitely want to bring a casual t-shirt with you. My favorite t-shirt-ever- is from the brand Simply Southern. It's cute and preppy; two of my favorite styles.

For afternoon shopping, I paired it with khaki shorts and comfortable sandals. I also wore stud earrings and my cross bracelet.

That concludes my fashion essentials for traveling. What are some of your must-haves when traveling to a tropical destination? Comment below!
