Welcome back to my blog, y'all!

I am so excited to be sharing with you my April favorites because that means the month is almost over and May is right around the corner. This May I am taking two AP tests and going to prom! I'm so excited!

First, let's talk about some beauty products I've been loving this month:

7th Heaven's Tea Tree Peel-Off Mask

I've used these face masks since January. I absolutely love them. As far as I know you can purchase them at Ulta Beauty or Walmart. I think they're about $2.00 It makes my skin feel amazing! You can click here to check them out. (I'm definitely going to feature these masks in future posts.)

Bath & Body Works Malibu Heat Body Lotion

With summer right around the corner, I've been using this lotion before bed. It contains vitamin E, jojoba, and shea butter. I absolutely love this scent.

Ulta Beauty Lip Liner in Flesh and Rose

I recently purchased Ulta's spring makeup bag containing a bunch of goodies. This lip liner is the perfect color for spring.

Ulta Beauty Dewy Makeup Setting Spray (Coconut)

This mini makeup setting spray was also in the spring makeup bag. It smells so good! I love the way it made my makeup look too.

Lip Sense Long Lasting Color in Heartbreaker

I talked about this product in my prom life hacks post. The color lasts all day!

Dooney & Bourke Crossbody

For Christmas, my mom surprised me with this adorable navy/white cross body. I am absolutely in love with it. It's perfect for spring and summer.

#ThrowbackThursday: Please understand I am not in the least a Kanye fan. I'm still salty about what he did to T-Swift. However, I have been loving this song. It's a great song to listen to during a workout sesh.

Raelynn's album is incredible. There's not one song on the album that I'm not a fan of. Some of my favorites are: Lonely Call, The Apple, Trigger, and Say.

Now or Never by Halsey

I've always been a fan of Halsey. I think her music is filled with compassion, yet it's "raw." This single has been on repeat for the past month.

No Promises by Cheat Codes ft. Demi Lovato

This song has been this month's hairbrush song. Every morning I've been jumping around to this song.

Mother's Day Gift Guide ft. Fabulous Creations

Whenever I go to Kohl's with my mom, we always eye up the Lauren Conrad section. The fabric, the florals, and the bows-- ahh! However, $50+ isn't always an option. I recommend using your Kohl's Cash and picking up one of these tops for your mom. She'll love it!

Tub Time Stuff

I don't know about your mom, but my mom loves her tub time. Put together a basket full of her favorite bath bombs, soaps, and scrubs. And maybe throw a body oil in there too!

DIY Recipe Cards 

If you're on a budget, no worries! I have a super easy DIY for you: recipe cards. Buy some index cards and decorate them to your liking. Mother's always like handmade gifts. My grandma keeps all-things-handmade from my sister and I.

Gaia Bella Review

Welcome back to my blog!

Today, I am review a serum from Gaia Bella, a vegan anti-aging skincare company. 

The Defend Anti-Aging Serum with Rose Oil claims to:

  • Soften fine lines and wrinkles
  • Restore collagen and elasticity
  • Repair at the cellular level
  • Fight acne causing bacteria
  • Reverse sun damage
  • Lighten dark spots
  • Fade scars and stretch marks
  • Even and brighten skin tone
  • Deep hydration

I have moderate acne on my chest and back, so I decided to try this product out into those two locations. After using it, I found that my acne has lessened and my skin is brighter. It's also extremely smooth.

Unlike other acne products, this one doesn't dry out my skin. I like that it fights against my acne, while still hydrating my skin.

The serum is purely plant-based with no added chemicals; and it is cruelty free.

Spring and Summer Shoe Wishlist

Hi everyone!

Flashback to the beginning of January when I published my memoir, Blogging For The Better. Did you notice what the bracelet in the image said? It said She Believed She Could So She Did. How To Prep For AP Exams

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog! Today, I am sharing some of my tips to help you prep for AP exams and other finals you might be taking soon.

I am currently enrolled in AP Microeconomics and AP Statistics. AP Microeconomics is an interesting class; I thoroughly enjoy the material. AP Statistics is a different story. Math and I have never quite got along.

Here are some of my tips for passing your AP exams and finals:

1. Stay on track.

I am currently a senior-- and senioritis is definitely kicking in. It's important to focus in class and keep up with assignments.

2. Make a study guide.

My AP Microeconomics teacher provided the class with a study guide in the beginning of the year. It has a list of approximately 200 terms. I am currently a little over half way done. Doing this a month before the AP exam is a fantastic review!

If your teacher didn't provide you with a study guide make your own. You can look at websites like AP Study Notes for chapter outlines and more. This will help you put together your own study guide.

3. Do practice exams. 

College Board has a variety of sample tests and essays to review. This is super helpful for my math course. It's nice to figure out ahead of time what scorers are looking for in a response.

4. Join a study group.

No study group to join? Make one. Having a group of friends who are enrolled in the same classes makes study time fun. You have people you can bounce ideas off of and ask questions.

5. Stay healthy.

As much as I hate to admit it, it's true: I'm a stress eater. I pull out all of the junk food and cram it down when I'm stressed. Avoid that at all costs.

Exercise daily. Get eight hours of rest. And, eat well. Try not to stress out-- I know, easier said than done.

M&C Naturals Review

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog! This evening, I am reviewing M&C Naturals, a natural and affordable skincare company. Melissa and Chad we're so kind and they sent me three products to review: Bath Salts (Coconut)Body Scrub - Exfoliating (Coconut), and their Balancing Facial Serum.

I think I've found my new favorite skincare company: 

Bath Salts (Coconut) // $18 or $5

These bath salts are made up of: magnesium sulfate (epsom salt), dead sea salt, and organic coconut fragrance oil. Simply shake well before each use. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of product to warm bath water. I love the way these bath salts smell-- I feel like I'm on an island. Personally, I like to have designated "tub time" on Saturday evenings. Dim the lights, play some soft tunes, and soak your body in this paradise.

This exfoliating scrub contains: organic cane sugar, fractionated coconut oil, organic coconut fragrance oil, and vitamin E. The organic cane sugar crystals gently exfoliate the skin, while the blend of oils nourishes the skin. I like to apply the product while still in the shower. I apply the product to my legs and arms in a circulation motion. This helps unclog pores and remove old skin cells. Again, this product smells incredible. However, more than that, it makes my skin feel silky smooth. (Follow up with a body oil if you're feeling extra.)

Facial Serum (Balancing) // $24

The balancing serum has all of the ingredients to address a variety of skin types. It contains fractionated coconut oil, evening primrose oil, sea buckthorn oil, lavender essential oil, myrrh essential oil, Ylang Ylang essential oil, and vitamin E. The Ylang Ylang essential oil helps to control acne and breakouts while still promoting moisture and elasticity. I love that about this product. Usually, acne products dry out my skin; making my skin flaky and tight. This product does just the opposite! The Sea Buckthorn regenerates the skin, while still being naturally high in antioxidants. Myrrh delivers moisture to dry areas and lavender calms the skin.

I use this product every single day, twice a day. I've found that my skin has never been clearer. (I don't think I've ever felt so confident in my skin, tbh.)

I'd also like to highlight that this product is fantastic as a base for make-up. It smooths out my skin making it easy to apply foundation and other face products. The foundation doesn't cling to spots on my skin like it did in the past. It glides over the surface of my skin for a flawless finish.

I've never came in contact with a product that works as well as this one. My skin is clear, fresh, and radiant.

I absolutely love M&C Naturals skincare line. If you struggle with acne, I highly recommend this product. I noticed a difference in my skin after the first use. My skin felt extremely soft. Within three days, I noticed a difference in my acne. Within one week, my skin was completely clear. Please note, I have mild acne. 

I still get breakouts every now and then... but I'm pretty sure that's from AP exams coming up-- statistics and I just don't mix.

Prom Life Hacks

Welcome back to my blog! I am so excited about today's post! Because prom season is in the air, I thought it would be appropriate to share some of my prom life hacks with you all. Not only am I featuring some life-saving tips, but I'm also sharing some incredible brands.

1. Find makeup and hair inspo on Pinterest.

I've found most of my makeup inspiration on Pinterest. I'm thinking about doing a neutral smokey eye with glossy lips.

7. Plan for pictures.

One of my friends came up with the idea of making a set list. (We're so organized!)

8. Get a haircut.

I recommend getting a trim if you're up for it. I'm planning on taking 1-2 inches.

9. Set everything up the night before-- dress, shoes, jewelry, makeup, clutch, etc.

Time is everything on the day of prom. My school let's me get out 2 hours and 15 minutes early. After getting a shower, people are coming over to get ready. We'll probably have snacks and dance and have a fantastic time. However, we only have until 4:30 to get ready because of pictures.

10. Get ready with your girls!

This isn't a hack as much as it is a tip. Get ready with your girlfriends! You'll have so much more fun. I guarantee it!

8 Things To Do On Spring Break

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm covering spring break.

Here are 8 things to do to keep yourself from growing bored:

1. Have a spa day.

Spring break is the perfect time to treat yourself to a mani/pedi. Put together your very own homemade facial.

2. Catch up on homework.

I know exactly what I'm going to be doing over spring break-- studying for my AP exams. It's so nice to complete homework on your own time at your own pace.

3. Clean out your closet.

Spring cleaning! I'm planning on cleaning out my closet. I have some old sweaters and blouses I'm planning to donate.

4. Have a bonfire.

Staycation? Have a bonfire with your friends! Reminisce on some of your favorite high school memories. I guarantee that you and your friends have some incredible experiences to relive.

5. Go for a hike.

Take advantage of the amazing weather. I have a trail about 15 minutes from my house that I love to go to. My boyfriend and I spend a ton of time there.

6. Have a photo shoot.

Like I mentioned earlier, take advantage of the glorious weather. I'm planning to get a ton of blog pics done over spring break.

7. Netflix and chill.

Looking to relax? Netflix and chill! Grab some snacks and binge watch 13 Reasons Why-- you'll be hooked. I guarantee it.

8. Take a cliche beach trip.

I love going to the beach. I love the sand in my toes and soaking up the warm sunshine rays. I also love walking the boards and eating oversized slices of pizza. So yummy! (Don't forget to Instagram it!)
